Welcome to TollSpot ("we," "our," "us," or "TollSpot"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you access or use our toll management services, including our web-based platform, customer portal, and related technology (the “Service”), and our website, tollspot.com (the “Site”).
TollSpot provides nationwide toll registration, monitoring, billing, and violation processing for fleets and vehicles using license plate-based and transponder tolling. Our platform allows customers to manage toll activity, view detailed usage reports, process violations, and ensure accurate billing for drivers and vehicles.
This Privacy Policy applies only to personal information that TollSpot collects, processes, and stores directly via our Site and Service. In this capacity, we act as a data controller, determining the purposes and means of processing personal information.
In certain cases, our customers may use the Service to upload, store, or process data as part of their own business activities. In these instances, the customer is the data controller, and TollSpot acts as a data processor, processing such data solely on the customer’s behalf and in accordance with their instructions.
This policy is designed to comply with applicable privacy laws in the United Stated, including the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA). For California residents, this policy includes a specific Privacy Notice outlining your rights under the CCPA, including the information we collect, how we use it, and how you can exercise your rights. Any terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning when used here.
FOR CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS
We collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer (“Personal Information”). Personal Information does not include, for example: Publicly available information from government records; de-identified or aggregated consumer information; or information excluded from the CCPA’s scope. If certain types of information are exempt from CCPA, this policy would not apply, but other privacy policies may apply such as our general Privacy Policy. Further, depending on your relationship with us, for example, if you are an employee or a vendor of ours, certain of the below rights may not apply.
CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect personal information necessary to provide our Service, maintain communications, and comply with applicable laws. The types of personal information we collect include:
- Account Information: API Keys, log-in credentials, user preferences, and account settings.
- Contact Information: Company name, authorized officer’s names(s) , email address, phone number, mailing address, and billing address.
- Customer Data: Any information, data, multimedia, video, audio, materials, or content that You provide to the Service Provider via the Service, including but not limited to Vehicle Data, Personal Data, and Driver Data, whether provided directly or indirectly. Customer Data includes any such information in any form or medium, and encompasses both data owned by You and data You have the right to provide to the Service Provider for purposes of this Agreement.
- Driver Data: We do not collect or process personal information of renters or individual drivers (such as names, contact details, or license information). Our Service only requires and uses information related to the fleet company, its authorized representatives, and the registered vehicle(s) necessary to provide toll management services.
- Identity Information. Name, title, role, company name, and department.
- Location Data: The precise geolocation data from the Vehicles, including the date, time, and exact geographic coordinates, and may include information related to the location of the driver of the Vehicle.
- Third-Party Toll Accounts: Accounts maintained with third-party toll agencies, toll data aggregators, or connected toll data service providers that provide access to toll-related information for your vehicles. This may include, but is not limited to, toll transactions, violation notices, account balances, vehicle registration information, and associated location data.
- Transaction Information: Payment details and records of transactions related to the use of the Service.
- Technical Information: IP address, device type, operating system, browser type, and usage data (e.g., time spent on pages, login activity).
- Marketing Preferences: Information about your preferences for receiving marketing communications.
- Personal Data: Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, including but not limited to name, contact information, identification numbers, account information, or other data that can be used to directly or indirectly identify an individual. Personal Data includes any information protected as “personal information” or “personal data” under applicable laws and regulations, and may encompass Location Data and Driver Data collected or processed in connection with the Service.
- Toll-Related Information. License plate numbers, vehicle identification numbers (VINs), toll transaction records (including dates, times, locations, and amounts), toll rate types, violation notices, GPS locations of Toll Gantry, and related billing or dispute information.
- Telematics Data. Information collected from in-vehicle telematics devices, GPS units, or similar technology, including location, speed, route history, and toll transaction confirmations, when such devices are used in connection with our Services.
- Vehicle Accounts: Accounts maintained with vehicle manufacturers, telematics providers, or other authorized platforms that provide access to data and features associated with the Vehicles, including but not limited to manufacturer-connected services, telematics portals, or fleet management systems.
- Vehicle Data: Data and information available through the Vehicle Accounts relating to the condition, location, performance, usage, diagnostics, and other operational or technical informatics of the vehicles.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
HOW WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION
We collect personal information in the following ways:
- Directly from You. When you fill out forms on our Site, sign up for an account, contact us, or provide information during the use of our Service.
- Automatically. Through cookies, log files, and similar technologies when you visit our Site or use the Service.
- From Third Parties. We may receive personal information from partners, event organizers, or other third parties who have obtained your consent to share your information with us.
- Data Processing on Behalf of Customers. In certain cases, we process personal information solely on behalf of our customers, such as when a fleet operator uploads driver, vehicle, or toll transaction data into our platform for toll management, billing, or violation processing. In these situations, we act only as a data processor, using the information strictly in accordance with the customer’s instructions and applicable privacy laws.
USE AND SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may use or disclose the personal information we collect for one or more of the following business purposes:
- Providing or Maintaining Our Services. To ensure the effective operation of our platform and services, including account management, facilitating connections between users, customer support, and platform enhancements.
- Payment Processing. To manage and process payments for the use of our services.
- Coordinating and Scheduling Activities. To facilitate event planning and scheduling.
- Communicating with You About Service Updates. To notify you about updates, improvements, or other relevant service information, including sending service notifications and marketing communications (where permitted by law or with your consent).

- Sharing with Toll Agencies. In order to provide toll registration, billing, and violation processing services, we share certain personal information, such as license plate state and numbers, vehicle identification numbers (VINs) and vehicle details like make, model, color, number of axles, weight, number of wheels, height, etc., toll transaction details, with governmental or private toll agencies. These agencies use the information to process toll charges, issue violation notices, and update account records in accordance with their own policies and applicable laws.

YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES FOR CALIFORNIA CONSUMERS
If you are a California resident, you may request the following regarding your personal information, covering the 12 months preceding your request:

SUBMITTING A VERIFIABLE CONSUMER REQUEST
A verifiable consumer request must provide sufficient information to allow us to reasonably verify you are the person about whom we collected personal information or an authorized representative. For example, we may require you to provide:
